“Give advice; if people don’t listen, let adversity teach them.”
— Ethiopian Proverb
You make hundreds of decisions every day. Some matter more than others.
But taking this advice to heart is one of the most important decisions you will ever make in terms of your life’s success.
Because there is one super important habit that stands above all the rest.
But before I share it with you…I’m going to leave you with this cliffhanger…
The most important thing you can do is to find someone good, positive, optimistic and loving to spend your life with.
This is the only career and life advice you’ll ever need.
And if you can’t find one person, then only spend time with people you can learn from…people who INSPIRE you to be a better person.
Could there possibly be a better alternative to this advice?
What possible downside would following this advice bring to your life?
I frequently ask myself when I am with someone, “Does this person INSPIRE me to be a better person.”
Some people might be good, but just not good for you. So it’s a relative thing.
However, whenever I follow this rule, my life gets bigger, better and more beautiful very quickly.
Whenever I don’t follow it, I always pay the price through loss of energy, unnecessary drama and other forms of pain or inconvenience.
If I am not with one person but “looking” then I try to learn at least one thing from each person I am around…the one takeaway that takes my breath away.
If you go to a meeting, dinner, date or event and can’t get one meaningful takeaway that makes you a better person…then you’ve wasted whatever amount of time you were in their presence.
Forget business jargon. Forget habits. Forget 10x thinking. Forget goals and forget networking.
Forget: “jump starting” and “e-myths” and “learn this.”
Think, dream and fantasize of the right person to be with. Be with that person. Be good to them. Be inspiring.
When you find them…stay with them…remain fiercely loyal as you’ve struck gold my friend.
Die happy knowing that you have surrounded yourself with good, inspiring people.
If you’re ever wondering what you want to be when you grow up…
Be the type of person that inspires others to think bigger, act bolder and who never settles for anything less than excellence.
While I can’t promise that you’ll be taller, better looking or have improved gas mileage as a result of using these resources… I can promise that what you’ll learn will help you to transform your life… and fast track all of your goals.
