There’s a decent chance you’ve blown your New Year’s Resolution by now.
Allow me to explain why…
A goal or New Year Resolution is a form of commitment, and…
COMMITMENTS present themselves in delineations of black and white…you either honor your commitments, or you do not.
Success is the result of making and keeping commitments to yourself and others, while all failed or unfinished goals, projects, and relationships are the direct result of broken commitments.
It’s that simple, that profound, and that important!

In a world, where almost 60% of all marriages end in divorce…where the biggest commitment one can make to another human being is easily broken, and readily accepted in society…almost expected for that matter…
Is it that inconceivable to think that people would not follow through on a much smaller commitment…like their diet or new workout routine?
Is it that far of a leap to see that when things get the least bit difficult or challenging that we head for the exit?
Would it really give you a mental hernia to think that when temptation presents itself…that old behavior patterns might trump the desire for a new, better reality?
This is all because over time our commitment muscle has atrophied and shriveled up…much like an old prune.
We are experiencing a massive commitment deficit in this world, where one should never exist.
The greatest betrayal in life is betrayal of one’s self. When we set goals and make commitments to ourselves and do not follow through…how on earth can we be expected to honor the commitments we make to others?
In creating the 100 Day Challenge…I asked myself this question:
If everyone understands the importance of goal setting and New Year’s Resolutions and the life changing benefits they deliver…than why do so few goals and resolutions get achieved…and is there a way to fix it?
